The file menu provides the following options :-
- New - creates a new structure file for editing, the user is prompted
immediately for the new file name the file extension that is used governs
the file format in which the
structure will be saved
- Open - opens an existing structure file for editing, the file extension
of the file governs the file format
in which it is expected
- Save - saves the currently opened file using its existing file name
- Save As - saves the currently opened structure file to a specified
file name, the file extension that is used governs the file
format in which the structure will be saved
- Close - closes the currently opened structure file and removes any
associated tabs from the display
area
- Close all - closes all currently opened structure files and removes
all tabs from the display area
- Print Structure - prints
the currently selected structure
- Print Set - prints the
set of structures including the currently selected structure
- Properties - displays properties and
statistics for the currently selected structure
- Exit - exits the Structure Editor application
The remaining space at the bottom of this menu is used to store the most recently
used files. Selecting these menu options provides a quick way of reloading a
recently-used file.
