Jackson Workbench : Analysis and Design Activities Supported

The Jackson Workbench Network Editor is used in the creation of Network diagrams [also known as System Specification Diagrams (SSDs)] and System Implementation Diagrams (SIDs) both of which are products of the process of applying the JSD method. A Process on a Network diagram may be associated with either a lower level explosion Network or a JSP Diagram. The editing of either of these is initiated by double-clicking on the visual representation of the Process on either of the Network or SID diagrams and this invokes the appropriate editor.

The Jackson Workbench Structure Editor is used in the creation of JSP diagrams. This tool may be used as either a stand alone tool, invoked from the Network Editor, or used within the integrated Workbench suite. The JSP diagrams can be automatically documented in HTML format using the Jackson Structure Publisher add-on. This facilitates "always up-to-date" design documentation in a highly portable format.

If the optional code generation module has been purchased this may be invoked from any of these tools.
