Boxes in the diagram can be selected by left-clicking with the mouse. Once a box is selected certain extra pop-up menu items become available. When selected a box is outlined in magenta, and the children of the selected box are outlined in grey - this indicates the subtree that will be detatched by the Detatch Subtree menu item.
